Raytec specializes in fabricating custom flashing and shapes for contractors. Some items are stock, meaning we have some inventory ready for immediate delivery; however, most are made to order.
When requesting a quote for various shapes, bear in mind many questions will need to be answered. Since these are custom fabricated items below are examples of some information you need to provide.
If the item is not a size which will be accepted by UPS ground, you must make provisions to accept products at a location that can accept a LTL carrier. This can not be in a residential area and must be accessible by large tractor trailer in a manned warehouse with a dock and forklift.
If the item you are requesting is in fact a custom fabricated part, a signature of acceptance would be required on the diagram which either you or Raytec will provide.
Several basic designs are following:
BLA = means apron flashing with or without kick (stiffener). Apron flashing is used where a roof butts into a wall and the painted side is always inside the 60 – 90° bend. If it has a kick it usually is ¼” to ½” from edge lying on roof.
BLD = drip edge – This goes on bottom of roof into gutter. Here the paint would be on the outside.
BLV = valley flashing. Valley flashing is available in a simple V configuration or with a 3/8” to ½” hem on both sides. It is also available in a W configuration. This can also be hemmed.
BLZ = “Z” flashing – is often used to go horizontally between plywood sheets to keep the water on the outside.
